GOALS
Despite several laws prohibiting them, explicit and underlying discriminations exist in the social and professional contexts. The consequences of discriminations appear sooner or later affecting not only its victims but also those organisations which ignore them. It is preferable and more efficient to identify early discrimination attitudes in order to prevent conflict situations. Therefore, GDECA aims are the following:
Set up
To assist any organisation willing to set up an equal opportunities structure (service, bureau, etc.) in its governance.
Development
To assist any organisation that already has a sector related to equal opportunities management (for example, diversity mainstreaming into Human Resources) to redefine it in an institutional cross-sectoral way.
Counselling
To provide counselling on equal opportunities management and/or set up awareness’ events related to sexism, racism, disability, etc.
Managers training
To train top managers in equitable management through different subjects related to discriminations and harassment/mobbing at the workplace.
Confidential
To provide confidential active listening and counselling to children, teenagers, adults and families victims of discrimination and/or harassment/mobbing.
Projects and Programmes
To create and implement GDECA’s projects and programmes.
